Grated carrots- 2 cups
Onions- 1/4 cup
Green chillies- 2 slit lengthwise
Salt- 1/4 tsp
For tempering
Oil- 1tsp
Mustard- 1/4 tsp
Urad dhal- 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida- a pinch
Method
- In a pan, heat oil and splutter mustard and urad dhal.
- Add the onions, asafoetida and green chilli and saute till soft.
- Add the grated carrots and salt. Sprinkle with water and cook till carrots are soft.
- Serve with rice.
