Ingredients
Onion- 1
Tomato-2
Green chillies- 2
Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1tsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
Salt- 3/4 tsp
Coriander leaves- to garnish
For tempering
Cinnamon- 1" stick
Cloves- 2
Fennel seeds- 1tsp
Curry leaves - few
To grind
Grated coconut-1/4 cup
Method
- Chop onion and tomatoes into small pieces.
- Slit green chilli lengthwise.
- Grind the coconut with 1 cup of water into thick paste.
- In a pan heat oil and temper the listed ingredients.
- Add onion, green chilli and tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add all the powders except garam masala and cook till the vegetable mixture is soft.
- Add the ground coconut and cook for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and coriander leaves.
Serve hot with idlis or chapatis.
