Chili curry



Ingredients
Anaheim Chilies- 6( long mild green chili)
Onion- 1 large chopped finely
Turmeric powder- 1/4tsp
Tamarind paste- 1tsp
Salt- as needed


For grinding
Peanuts- 1/4 cup roasted
White sesame seeds- 3tbsp
Dry coconut powder- 2tbsp
Dried red chili- 4
Coriander seeds- 1tbsp
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Cinnamon- 1"
Cloves- 2


Method

  1. Fry the chilies in 1tbsp of oil until soft. Drain in a paper towel and set it aside.
  2. In 1 tbsp of oil , fry the ingredients listed for grinding(add the coconut powder in the end so as not to burn it). Grind  with 1/2 cup of water and the tamarind paste.
  3. In a pan, heat oil and splutter mustard and cumin seeds. Add curry leaves.
  4. Add the ground paste to the pan and fry well. Add water according to desired consistency and bring to a boil. Add the fried chilies and cook for 10 more minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm with zeera rice or rotis.
