Ingredients
Chicken- 2 lbs with bone
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp
Lemon Juice- 1tbsp
Salt- as needed
To grind
Dried red chilies- 4
Coriander seeds- 1tbsp
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Saunf- 1tbsp
Black pepper- 1 tbsp
Cinnamon- 1"
Cloves- 2
Dried Coconut powder- 2tbsp
Method
- Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes.
- Dry roast the ingredients listed under "to grind" one by one and grind into a coarse powder.
- Add the powder to the marinated chicken and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.
- In a non stick pan, heat oil and add the chicken and saute for 2 minutes until the chicken turns white in a high flame.
- Reduce the flame to medium and cover the pan with a lid and cook for 10 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
- Remove the lid and increase the flame and fry the chicken until well browned.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and mix well.
Serve warm.
